I hope all you wonderful Mothers, Grandmothers & Mother figures out there have a fantastic day filled with love and happiness. We're having an early Mothers Day in my house this year. I'm excited to share my gift with you as it might just be the start of a new chapter in YAA and the amazing art that all of our artists create....
It's the very first time I have had one of my paintings printed on canvas! I completed the original painting a couple of years ago in the studio. It's a view from Dominic St , just off Shandon St, Cork. A place that holds a special place in my heart. The printed quality is fantastic, I am completed over whelmed! Thank you so much to my lovely family for organising this for me. It's great motivation to pull out my paint brushes and get started on a few more paintings!

Week 2 of Adult Art Classes at YAA was a success! I had a great morning and I hope everyone who attended did too. Today we used only 3 primary colours and white to tint. Isn't it impressive what you can achieve from mixing colours?! Looking forward to Week 3 already for artist's own choice. Thanks everyone!
Halloween brought a horrible trick rather than a treat to YAA, it's an Art Studio this year in the form of a broken front window! This lead to cancellation of some art camps for our artists who were quite upset. However, this incident reminded me just how lucky I am to be living and working in Blarney village as the local people offered help with donations for immediate replacement of the window, enabling art classes to continue. The glass replacement was 350 euro and I tipped the 2 glaziers from Waters glass with a little pocket money and a painting each for their great work. I want everyone to know how appreciative I am for their generosity. I'll be making a special effort with my window displays behind the new shiny glass :)
Busy busy busy.... Painting the weekend away with jolly Santas on ready to hang canvas in preparation for the Chrustmas market next weekend
We had a great time at halloween art camp this year with a mix of demos and artist own choice! Thanks to everyone who came along and made it spooktacular!
It finally happened.... Adult art classes for beginners have started at YAA in Blarney. Our first class was this morning at 11am until 1pm. We experimented with primary and secondary colours and mixing to create a beautiful demo of a daisy that each person got to brimg home today. Thank you for coming along and creating some happy memories in YAA it's an Art Studio
